Only activate saw guard dog button when guard binding will occur or unless making special cuts such as pocket cuts or compound miter cuts, for all other sawing the lower guard should operate automatically as designed without the assistance of the saw guard dog.

Always remove thumb from saw guard dog button after cut is initiated and before it is completed.

Do not run/operate the saw while carrying it at your side.
Lower guard may become opened by accidentally making contact with your clothing.
Accidental contact with the spinning saw blade will result in serious personal bodily injury.
Always hold saw and workpiece firmly, keep hand holding the workpiece and body at least 1 to 2 feet away from the blade at all times so they can’t be accidentally cut.
To ensure the smooth operation of the saw guard dog, keep all saw guard dog moving parts, including the saw’s lower guard bearing-area clean and well lubricated.
Keep work area clear and clean of all debris and away from saw guard dog and saw during use.

Any damaged saw guard dog parts should be removed and/or replaced before operating the saw.
When servicing saw guard dog use only identical manufacturer replacement parts.
